Job Description

Role title: Part Time – Operations Support Manager (Job Share – Wednesday -Friday)

Location: Chester

This role operates on a job sharing basis, with responsibilities divided between two individuals. The Operations Support Managers will work together to ensure the efficient operation of their respective duties while maintaining effective communication and collaboration.


Objectives of the role:

  • To support and implement processes on all contract changes, ensuring all legal documentations are accurate before issuing.
  • Develop and sustain tracking systems for all incoming and outgoing business documentation and provide monthly KPI reports for each geographical region.
  • Aid the team in tracking documentation from BDMs, ensuring timely completion.
  • Guaranteeing compliance with regulations, utilising a reporting system.
  • Constructing and enhancing reports and deploying them to prevent the expiration of contracts, thereby facilitating collaboration with Business Development Managers for contract renewals.
  • Work closely with the estates team to ensure regulations are being followed.
  • Assist with the annual audit.
  • To provide support to Regional Directors and Managers daily and resolve any issues that may arise and escalate where necessary.
  • Working alongside teams ensuring certain legalities across the business are actioned in a timely manner and in line with the companies Code of Practice.
  • Manage and develop individuals’ performance to deliver set objectives through regular 1:1s offering coaching, training and feedback.
  • Carry out monthly team meetings and regular training sessions with the Operations Support team.
  • Facilitate and encourage a positive working environment and lead by example in line with our company values.
  • Closely monitoring account set ups, ensuring correct billing lines and agreement types are being used and thereafter liaising with the sales ledger team with any issues that may arise.
  • Presenting to the field teams and Operations with exception reporting enabling to better improve process and communication around the business.
  • Ad hoc reports and tasks as required.
  • Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within the team are regularly updated.
  • Attend monthly central managers meetings
  • Ensure effective collaboration with the other part-time Operations Support Manager, facilitating weekly handovers to ensure both managers are informed about any underlying issues.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a job sharing arrangement.
  • Shows resilience when faced with challenging scenarios and the ability to identify solutions to resolve problems with a ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Flexibility, receptive and positive towards change
  • Experience in a similar type role (desirable however not essential)
  • Line management experience essential
  • IT skills (Including all Microsoft packages such as Word and Excel)
  • Organised approach to working by demonstrating versatility and flexibility
  • Excellent communication skills (verbally and written) with good attention to detail
  • Be able to work at pace in a forever changing environment
