£45,000-£55,000 pro rata

Working on a fixed term contract which is anticipated to run for 9 months, the Project Manager will be responsible for managing a cross-functional and inter-departmental project within the UK locations of an international business. The Project Manager will be partnering with departmental heads to deliver a significant transformation initiative which has broad impacts across numerous business functions. You will be driving the project team to deliver targeted objectives, using appropriate tools to support project methodology, and acting as an interface to client-facing and other internal stakeholders.

The successful Project Manager will be rewarded with an enhanced holiday entitlement, a company pension scheme and free onsite parking.

Salary is £45,000-£55,000 pro rata, based on experience level.

Responsibilities include:-

  • Direct management of the planning, execution, and deployment of major change initiatives across the business.
  • Ensures that requirements and associated project decisions are appropriately identified, agreed, documented, and monitored to ensure that the business objectives are delivered.
  • Oversees the execution of defined project tasks through tracking of deliverables and their statuses, developing project plans, and measuring progress against ongoing key performance indicators.
  • Drives project plan actions as directed by senior executives.
  • Manages risk due to change and proactively escalate issues and drive solutions to reduce risk from change and ensure transparency of all stakeholders.
  • Plans and organises projects using appropriate tools and techniques, including change management tools, and risk and issue management tools to ensure efficient and effective project completion.
  • Navigates across various departments and partner organisations, leading them to negotiate decision making for efficient and effective resolution.
  • Develops, maintains, and reports on an overall integrated delivery plan, raising any risks, developing a mitigation plan, and escalating issues appropriately to respective stakeholders.

Skills and experience required:-

  • Strong experience of end-to-end project management, ideally in transformation projects which have end-user impact.
  • Ideally Project Management Professional Certified.
  • Experience of working collaboratively with a range of business functions, including IT, HR, Operations, Facilities Management, Marketing, Legal and Compliance.
  • Must be strongly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project) and SharePoint.
  • Strong decision-making skills with an assertive and proactive communication style.
  • Must have excellent organisational skills and be able to handle multiple tasks to meet extremely compressed deadlines.
  • Enthusiastic, determined, and positive, able to work efficiently in a high pressure, fast changing environment.
  • A highly-motivated individual, a self-starter and eager to learn. Comfortable working with a high level of autonomy.
  • Innovative with forward-thinking ideas – can challenge the status quo as well as having the ability to influence the conversation with diverse points of view.
