Regional Sales Manager

Job Description

The role focuses on developing and executing strategies to drive growth in sales and market share within an assigned region. The individual will be instrumental in retaining existing business, acquiring new customers, and managing relationships with both direct customers and channel partners. Additionally, the role involves identifying and engaging new channel partners by leveraging market and competitor insights.

Regional Sales Manager’s Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Achieve or exceed annual sales and order growth targets in line with business objectives.
  • Meet and surpass sales targets for pumps, spare parts, and related equipment in food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales to develop and implement channel sales strategies and key account plans to achieve regional growth objectives.
  • Establish and follow an annual growth plan that aligns with business growth strategies.
  • Support and grow the existing direct customer base while actively seeking and engaging new channel partners.
  • Provide channel partners with product specifications, application knowledge, pricing, and other necessary information to help them achieve business goals, including delivering technical and commercial quotations.
  • Develop account plans with annual goals, objectives, and quotas to support company’s growth strategies.
  • Identify regional coverage gaps, prioritise, and engage new channel partners to fill these gaps, onboard new partners, and drive their growth.
  • Promote the companies brand across the region.

Regional Sales Manager Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience in industrial product outside sales or distributor management within food & beverage or other sanitary markets.
  • Experience with pumps.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation, persuasion, relationship management, and negotiating skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work productively with minimal supervision.
  • Quick learner with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using computers and software programs, including MS Office Suite.
  • Experience with CRM and ERP software.
  • Willingness to travel extensively.
