Travel Sales Manager

Working within this esteemed and expanding company, Travel Sales Manager will be based at this well-established company in Chester with hybrid working options. This award-winning company prides themselves on the bespoke service they offer customers.

Our client is actively seeking a Sales Manager specifically managing luxury brands. Leading a high-performing sales team to deliver exceptional client service and achieve ambitious sales KPI targets, this role will be central to driving commercial growth, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering a culture of continuous development and innovation. Responsible for inspiring the team to deliver a world-class luxury experience, while contributing to the wider strategic goals of the company. This is a leadership role that blends coaching, managing high performance, and hands-on support. You’ll take ownership of sales day to day operations, team development, and client relationship strategies to ensure optimal productivity and an elevated client experience.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Deliver revenue & profit targets for the brands as well as other sales KPI’s, ensuring the teams are focusing on key processes that add value to the business & client
  • Lead, motivate, and inspire the sales team to achieve and exceed individual and team KPIs
  • Monitor daily lead flow and ensure all enquiries are handled efficiently, professionally, and within SLA targets
  • Work alongside trainers to develop tailored coaching plans for team members based on skills gaps, performance data, and development potential.
  • Identify and act on trends in sales performance, using data to drive decision-making and improve outcomes
  • Ensure consistent and high-quality communication across all client touchpoints, ensuring delivery and helping to identify any training gaps
  • Support onboarding and training of new team members, ensuring a smooth integration into the team and a consistent standard of service delivery
  • Provide ongoing mentorship, performance feedback, and career development opportunities, monthly 1 on 1’s with all reporting team members
  • Working alongside the other sales managers to foster a high-performance culture within luxury brands
  • Supporting head of sales to continuously analyse performance data, providing insightful commentary, actionable recommendations, and real-time trading feedback
  • Rota management and responsible for operational running of the team, including weekends, bank holidays, late shifts and phone management to ensure service proposition is met
  • Provide daily support with internal process’s such as ODR, manual cost checks and our of portfolio
  • Co-ordinate attendance at supplier training in-house and out of hours, along with Privilege trips, ensuring all minimum standards are adhered to pre-during-post trip, and the team’s product knowledge is kept up to date
  • Support and be the first point of contact for any complaints when required regardless of which brand you work for; benefitting from being part of the wider company.

Skills & Experience :

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in a travel sales leadership role.
  • Proven success in mentoring, coaching and developing sales individuals to achieve and exceed KPI’s.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring abilities with experience in performance management and onboarding.
  • Deep understanding of sales processes and ability to identify process improvements.
  • Commercially astute with the ability to analyse data, interpret trends, and act decisively.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills – articulate, confident, and persuasive.
  • Proficient in time management and capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Technologically adept, with strong proficiency in MS Office (particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word).
  • Calm and solutions-oriented approach to problem solving.
  • Passionate about luxury travel and delivering exceptional client experiences.
